Russian Railways’ export cargo loading to ports rises 5% Jan–Feb

MOSCOW, Apr 4 (PRIME) -- Russian Railways’ loading of export cargoes to the domestic sea ports grew 5% on the year to 80.6 million tonnes in January–March, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Loading of export cargoes meant for the ports of Russia’s northwest rose 1.3% to 33.7 million tonnes in the period, loading for the southern ports went up 6.7% to 20.6 million tonnes, and for the Far Eastern ports grew 8.8% to 26.3 million tonnes.

Coal accounted for 47% of all export cargo, oil for 28.3%, ferrous metals for 8%, fertilizers for 6.2%, and grain for 2.8%.
